To discover the breadth of IPY scientific research and enquiry, Canadian Geographic has created an interactive map that locates, describes and illustrates more than 50 IPY projects across Canada's North, with topics ranging from sea ice to permafrost, arctic char to polar bears, and ancient civilizations to contemporary Inuit health. Using state-of-the-art cartography, the Canada and International Polar Year map combines text, photographs and other forms of illustration in a dynamic, engaging and lively presentation of each project.
