McGill Mountain (TOP) is reflected in the glassy waters of Lake Hazen, Nunavut, the site of a research project on Arctic char and other freshwater fish, including lake trout (BOTTOM). Ranging farther north than any other known freshwater-fish species, Arctic char is economically and culturally important to Northerners.
